Procedure
The warm oil used in Abhyanga is typically chosen based on the patient’s dosha, or Ayurvedic constitution. The oil is heated to a comfortable temperature and applied generously to the entire body, from head to toe.
Herbal oil massage is done to whole body with away from the heart direction in different positions along with shiro(head) abhyangam and shiro pichu (cotton dipped in herbal oil applies to centre of head), As well as karnapuran (drops of oil applying to the ears) followed by swedanam (steambath).
